Not all sunrooms perform the same-
Looks can be deceiving. Many sunrooms may look like a Four Seasons Sunroom, but they don’t perform the same. Some use PVC plastic frames and windows, lacking durability and strength,. Some use exposed wood, which will swell, twist and distort. Other use thin frames, which cannot hold up in high winds or heavy snow. By way of glazing, most competitors use ordinary Low-E, or tinted glass, which overheats badly in summer and performs marginally in winter. Some use cellular type plastic (polycarbonate) roof glazing, which you cannot see through and which yellows and deteriorates with age.
Other sunrooms use glass which lets in large amounts of unwanted heat through the roof and vertical glass. Reflective type glass distorts clarity in the vision area (vertical). In winter these glass types let in cold, condensation, and drafts, while the heat escapes. Four Seasons Sun Smart Premium or Max Premium glass allows you to avoid these situations by selecting the glass that suits your individual climate. We also offer glass of varying degrees of interior and exterior reflectivity.
